Imbolc 2013 Reflections

The weather was  a perfect combination of wintery enough for this celebration of welcoming the return of the sun, yet warm enough to make the pilgrimage to the pond, with torch fire and drumbeat. . .We made little magnolia leaf boats to float offerings of flower petals, fruits, seeds for the birds and oatmeal for the fish to express our gratitude and invoke protection for the Cape Fear watershed of which this pond is a part.
