We are on Sherkin Island in Roaringwater Bay, in the territory of my O’Driscoll ancestors. We are on pilgrimage to honor and bring gratitude to the deep-time ancestors and spirits of the land. We hope to help forge connections between them and the ancestors and sacred beings of the land back home, asking that their much needed wisdom infuse us all. Here are photos of a Harvest Moon Mandala and Ancestor Offerings that we made on the beach, with prayers, to be carried away to the loving ancestors on the fast-approaching tide.
